SELECTED DOGMATIC IMPLICATIONS OF THE PRAYER TOWARD EAST BY JOSEPH RATZINGER
Summary
Joseph Ratzinger opted for the prayer towards east. Arguments given by him were not in fact liturgical but have been presenting implications between a definite liturgical celebration and the dogmatic truths.
The article analyses Joseph Ratzinger's selected grounds in the topic, showing this theologian's innovatory way of thinking, his merging Church's lex orandi and lex credendi. The matter of prayer toward east is still, though 50 years after the II Vatican Council, current and located in contemporary theological reflection. This particular and versatile direction in prayer during the liturgy can contribute to the discovery of Church's prayer treasury and become an element of a grave ecumenical dialog.

"HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES, HE HAS HARDENED THEIR HEART, TO PREVENT THEM FROM USING THEIR EYES TO SEE, USING THEIR HEART TO UNDERSTAND, CHANGING THEIR WAYS AND BEING HEALED BY ME" (J 12:40). THEOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF A PRAYER FOR INTERGENERATION HEALING
Summary
The popularity of a prayer for intergeneration healing has been commonly observed in today's Church. This peculiar phenomenon of our times is becoming a pastoral call as well. People participating in such prayers should be provided with suitable help and care to properly evaluate what happens in their lives. However, from the viewpoint of the Bible, tradition and theology, these types of prayers arouse more and more questions and difficulties. Lex orandi and lex credendi face each other, in addition to which the first one seems to be more valuable. The history of the Church does not yet know a case when both laws were supposed to stand in contradiction to each other. Lex orandi has rather always been a supplement to lex credendi. Is such an assumption also possible in case of prayers for intergeneration healing? This article points to such elements of the prayer, in which it becomes doubtful from the viewpoint of the tradition and Church teaching.

PERSONAL PRAYER AS A WAY TO THEOSIS FORMULATED BY KALLISTOS WARE. Summary
This paper shows personal prayer as a way to theosis formulated by Kallistos Ware. It is also an attempt to show the role of a body in a prayer. Orthodox Church, being strongly influenced by Fathers Tradition, teaches that hesychia is a state of peace for a person who prays short formula 'Jesus Christ, the Son of God, have mercy on me'. the prayer that is of a mouth at first, becomes through a prayer of intellect to a prayer of a heart, that is a constant being in front of God. Prayer of a heart makes a man the prayer. Becoming a prayer assumes participation of a body. Jesus revealed His divinity in the body. Hesychia is then a prayer of a holy person and has its result in unification. A person who does not sleep but prays through the light of Tabor makes his nature better. Theosis is final unification.

summarium/abstract:

YES, FATHER. CHRISTOLOGY OF PRAYER ACCORDING TO JOSEPH RATZINGER/BENEDICT XVI
Summary
Ratzinger shows christological specificity of Christian prayer against the background of the universal phenomenon of prayer based on existential imperative of human transcendental search for sense and longing for the Other. First of all, it consists not so much in the specific spiritual practice as a moral duty, as it has an ontological source. Jesus convinces of that on the pages of the Gospel, when He reveals the very essence of intertrinitary relations in His man's prayer (both in its content and form) to His Father. The essential relationship between love and submission, adoratio and proskynesis, expressed by the filial communion with the Father's will, also in the time of death, is a salutary 'yes' for us of God's promises and defines what human piety actually is. Christian prayer consists in participating in the prayers of Jesus and - as such - it constitutes the foundation and essential experience of the Church.

THE THEOLOGY OF THE MARIAN PRAYERS OF JOHN PAUL II
Summary
The author of this article analyzes the theology present in several dozen Marian prayers that John Paul II prayed in Rome, Italy and in various Marian shrines around the world. The author points out that a specific Mariology has been preserved in them; on one hand, very theologically rigorous, based on biblical and theological foundations, and on the other hand, tinged with love, piety and childlike devotion. All Mariological dogmas are recalled, although God's motherhood and motherhood towards the Church are most frequently invoked. It is therefore a wellfounded Mariology, though not abstract, distant from human being, but one that motivates action, prayer, contemplation, moral and pastoral effort, and filial love for the heavenly Mother. It is also Mariology practiced in a way in the context of experienced matters and problems, and therefore extremely existential, as evidenced by the requests addressed to “our Mother" for support in life's difficulties. The entrustments made by the pope in various shrines or in front of the icons or statues of the Mother of God were undoubtedly intended to leave the local people under the protection of the Mother of God. They also had educational significance: they taught to pray to Our Lady, to call upon Her help, to ignite among the people love for Her. It is not necessary to show how his Marian attitude had a profound effect on Marian devotion in the universal Church and in every local Church he visited.

THE THEOLOGY OF THE MARIAN PRAYERS BY POPE FRANCIS
Summary
The author of the article presents the content of more than twenty prayers of Pope Francis addressed to Our Lady in various Shrines dedicated to Her. The Holy Father honors Mary in them, using her various, strictly theological titles: (Immaculate Mother, Holy Virgin, Mother of God, Mother of Jesus), or those that he himself has formed: (Mother of silence, beauty, tenderness, Woman of decisions, actions, our Mother). At the same time, he shows who in fact Mary is for him as well as for the faithful. Pope Francis' zeal with which he pleads with the “Mother of the Afflicted" seems particularly striking. He begs Our Lady so that She would intercede with the merciful God and with her Son, the Redeemer on behalf of individual statuses of the People of God, especially for those suffering in spirit because of sin and in the body, i.e. for the victims of injustice, for the poor, the sick and the persecuted. This means that Pope Francis managed to code in his prayers a profound Mariology that manifests itself in a living Marian devotion.
